While looking through old documents, it is almost inevitable that the reader's attention will be drawn from the intended target to other articles. The report below was found in an old Scotsman newspaper. Although it has no football content, it may be of interest.

FOUR-YEAR-OLD ARDROSSAN BOY’S DEATH – SECOND FATALITY IN ONE STREET THIS WEEK
Colin Maclean, the four-year-old son of Robert Maclean, garage proprietor, 218 Glasgow Street, Ardrossan, was yesterday knocked down and fatally injured by a motor bus opposite his home.  Within the past six weeks, there have been three bus fatalities in Glasgow Street and yesterday’s was the second this week.
