ARDROSSAN MAN’S BRAVERY RECOGNISED
At a meeting of Ardrossan Town Council, Provost McDowall presented to Mr David C Findlay, a young shipyard worker, residing at 113 Glasgow Street, Ardrossan, the certificate of the Royal Humane Society awarded to him for his bravery in jumping, fully clothed, into the dock at Ardrossan after running about a hundred yards and rescuing a boy who had fallen into the water and who was on the point of drowning.
