The 1960s was the only one in its first twelve decades that Winton did not win a trophy.

ARDROSSAN WINTON ROVERS
Willie Savage, the outside right of Ardrossan Winton Rovers, flies to Australia on Monday to join Slavia Football Club who have former Kilmarnock player Billy Cook in their team.   Matthew Jackson, the versatile wing half of Ardrossan, is also leaving for Australia at the beginning of January to play for Grange City.  Other Ardrossan players in keen demand are Jim Breen who trains with Clyde, Ian McNicholl wanted by Liverpool and centre forward Ian Reid who has already been on trial for Kilmarnock and is expected to sign for the Rugby Park club.
