There was no regularly competing football club in Ardrossan in 1893. Three new teams were formed and played mostly against each other. They were Ardrossan Boy's Brigade, Ardrossan Glasgow and South Western Railway Athletic and Ardrossan Violets. Ardrossan White Star reappeared to play its first game since 1884.

The Ardrossan Boys' Brigade and the Stevenston Boys' Brigade played a friendly match at Stevenston on Saturday (11 March 1893). The game resulted in a win for the Ardrossan lads by nine goals to three.

ARDROSSAN VIOLETS 3 - SECOND BRIGADE 0
On Saturday (22 April 1893), a match was played between the Ardrossan Violets and the Second Brigade, resulting in a victory for the Violets by three goals to none.
