No documents on Ardrossan Football Clubs were found for 1882 in Ardrossan and Saltcoats Heralds but the Glasgow Herald reported on three games.


LARGS ATHLETIC 1 - ARDROSSAN SEAFIELD 0
This game (on 11 March 1883) resulted in a victory for Largs Athletic by one goal and two disputed ones to none.

ARDROSSAN SEAFIELD 3 - BARKIP 3
This game was played at Clutha Park, Ardrossan (on 18 March 1882). Seafield having won the toss, Barkip commenced operations. The game which was well-contested ended in a draw of three goals each.

This was Ardrossan Seafield's last reported game till 1889. The Ardrossan and Saltcoats Herald of 28 June 1889 made reference to Seafield's bankruptcy.

ARDROSSAN CLYDESDALE 3 – IRVINE ACADEMICALS 2
This game (on 8 April 1882) was played on the ground of the Seafield Clutha Park, Ardrossan.  The strangers won the toss and, selecting to play with the wind in their favour, after ten minutes play scored goal number one which was supplemented by a second a few minutes later.  Before half-time was called, the Clydesdale registered their first goal.  In the second part, the home team scored another two goals.  The match thus terminated in favour of the Clydesdale by three goals to two.
