Ardrossan Football Club played a few games in 1875.

ARDROSSAN TO PLAY KILMARNOCK
A match between the Kilmarnock and Ardrossan clubs has been arranged to come off here today - play to commence at 3.30 pm.

ARDROSSAN 0 - KILMARNOCK 3
Last Saturday afternoon (13 February 1875), a match at football was played between the Ardrossan and Kilmarnock clubs on the ground of the former. The weather was everything that could be desired and a goodly number of the townspeople turned out to witness the match. After an hour and a half's hard playing, victory inclined to the strangers, they coming off victorious by three goals to nothing. We understand that a match has been arranged to be played today Saturday (20 February 1875) between our local club and that of Mauchline - game to commence at 3.30 pm.

There was no match report in the following week's Herald.

KILBIRNIE 2 - ARDROSSAN 3
A match of considerable interest was payed on Saturday afternoon (13 March 1875) between these two clubs on the Kilbirnie ground at Stoneyholm.   The match proved to be an exceedingly well-contested one and resulted in favour of the Ardrossan club by one goal, Kilbirnie scoring two to their opponents' three.

ARDROSSAN FOOTBALL CLUB MEETING
At a meeting of the above club on Monday night (6 September 1875), the following office bearers were elected - captain, John McAusland; vice captain, James Stevenson; treasurer, John Hepburn; honorary secretary, Robert McCubbin. The above club will play Kilbirnie today (11 September 1875) on their grounds - game to commence at 3.30.

ARDROSSAN 0 - KILBIRNIE 1
The opening match of these clubs was played on Saturday (11 September 1875) on the ground of the former and resulted in a victory for the Kilbirnie by one goal to nothing, the goal being kicked by J Houston. The play of Tait, Menzies, Fergusson and Wilson was remarkably good for the Kilbirnie and for the Ardrossan, Allison, McAuslan, McDonald and Hepburn.

AYR ACADEMY 2 - ARDROSSAN 0
On Saturday last (2 October 1875), a football match was played at the Low Green, Ayr and resulted in favour of the Ayr Academy by two goals. The goals were kicked by C Highet and W Beveridge.
