ARDROSSAN TO PLAY KILMARNOCK
ARDROSSAN 0 - KILMARNOCK
3
Last Saturday afternoon
(13 February 1875), a match at football was played between the Ardrossan
and Kilmarnock clubs on the ground of the former. The weather was everything
that could be desired and a goodly number of the townspeople turned out to witness
the match. After an hour and a half's hard playing, victory inclined to the
strangers, they coming off victorious by three goals to nothing. We understand
that a match has been arranged to be played today Saturday (20 February 1875)
between our local club and that of Mauchline - game to commence at 3.30 pm.
