The dates of formation and demise of Ardrossan Cooperative Football Club are unknown but it certainly existed in 1928. The following is an extract from the minutes of Ardrossan Winton Rovers Football Club on 3 April 1928. A letter was read form the secretary of Ardrossan Cooperative Football Club requesting the use of Winton Park for playing purposes and the use of the clubhouse for training. The secretary was advised to reply that, owing to the field being closed as soon as possible for improvements, the committee could not see their way to grant permission.
On 18 December 1928, the Winton minutes recorded that A letter was read from the Cooperative Society Football Club requesting the use of Winton Park for a game on Wednesday 19 December. It was agreed that owing to other juvenile clubs having the use of the field, this application be refused.
